Advance Screening: Ken Burns' "American Revolution"

The Burgwin-Wright House and Gardens has partnered with PBS North Carolina and Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts to host an advance screening of highlights from PBS’ landmark documentary, "The American Revolution," from filmmaker Ken Burns.

About the event
On Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. in historic Thalian Hall in downtown Wilmington, guests will get their first look at segments from across the series, directed by Burns, Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt. The series will delve into the military, social, cultural and political stories that defined the fight for independence, and arrives on the eve of the national 250th commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. The full six-part, 12-hour series will premiere on consecutive nights starting Sunday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. on PBS, and streaming free on PBS.org or the PBS app.
Admission to the screening is free, but tickets are required and can be obtained by visiting ThalianHall.org or calling the box office at 910-632-2285 (Monday through Friday 12-5 p.m.).
