About the event
Saint Andrew's Day (Scots: Saunt Andra's Day, Scottish Gaelic: Là Naomh Anndrais) is Scotland's official national day. In Scotland, and many countries with Scottish connections, Saint Andrew's Day is marked with a celebration of Scottish culture, and with traditional Scottish food and music. In Scotland the day is also seen as the start of a season of Scottish winter festivals encompassing Saint Andrew's Day, Hogmanay and Burns Night.
All members in good standing are invited to attend, as are those interested in joining. Learn about the state of the organization and plans for the coming months. This is an election year, so participation is very important! We will start with a potluck supper; please include in your RSVP whether you will bring a main, side, salad or dessert. SSOW will provide water and lemonade, as well as plates, napkins and utensils.
