About the event
Due to anticipated winter weather, the UNCW Bagpipe Workshop & Recital originally scheduled for February 1 has been postponed to Sunday, February 8 to ensure safe travel for our instructors, performers, and attendees. We recognize that the new date places us in friendly competition with the Super Bowl; however, after reviewing venue availability and artist schedules, February 8 was the earliest viable option. Besides, bagpipes are the only musical instrument ever declared to be a weapon of war, so whether you choose football or pipes that afternoon, you’ll still be witnessing a time-honored contest of stamina, volume, and sheer force of will.
