Catherine Fort

Catherine's roots in Wilmington go back much further than 2016, when she moved here from the Washington, DC area. Her Welsh and English family settled here in the mid-1700s and one of her Scottish ancestors arrived in Brunswick Town in 1806. She identifies as a member of the Forbes Clan, her mother's line, but she is also a descendant of the Fraser, Keith, Douglas and Hay Clans on her father's side.
